Terms of Service
Deposits & Waiting List
For projects quoted over $2000, an initial non-refundable 50% deposit is required to hold the client’s place on the schedule. An additional 50% will be due before delivery or installation.
Once the deposit has been made and a contract is signed, you’ll be added to the schedule and will be notified of start date, which is only an estimate. This date may change due to other projects, unforeseen circumstances, and/or delayed communication with the client.
Refunds
Due to nature of the design process and the time involved, refunds are not given for any reason.
Estimates
Estimates provided will be honored for 2 weeks from the date of creation. After this time frame, a new estimate will be provided upon request.
Cancellations
In the event of cancellation of the project, ownership of all copyrights and the original artwork shall be retained by Shay Bocks. Any canceled project is billed by hours completed at a rate of $150/hr. The project deposit is non-refundable. Shay Bocks reserves the right to terminate the agreement after 30 days of client inactivity.
Authorization
All clients agree to provide Shay Bocks access to any hosting, domain account, or blog account for the sole purpose of installing and updating the web product as needed.
Communication
All communication is done via email or video call. No business will be conducted by phone. The design process relies upon consistent email communication. The discovery worksheet should be completed before the specified start date or the project will be recycled back into the queue. If you fail to respond in a timely manner (within 72 hours), that project will be delayed until a time when regular communication is possible.
Development & Completion
Shay works hard to complete all projects in a timely manner and will communicate with you during the entire development of the project. Most projects are completed with 4 to 6 weeks of the start date, but each project is different so it may take less or more time.
Proofing & Revisions
Design proofs are completed according to the specifications provided by the client on the discovery worksheet. The client should have a decent idea of what their vision is and should clearly express that during the discovery process. Shay Bocks will provide up to two revisions for each project unless otherwise specified. Additional revisions are subject to a fee of $150 per hour. Any changes to the design after installation will also be subject to a fee regardless of the number of revisions used during the design process. Please make sure any changes you want to be made are done before installation.
Promotional Use
Shay Bocks reserves the right to use project details for promotional material, portfolio and client testimonials.
